In 2011, Detroit Bikes set out to change the way people think about cycling. By manufacturing simple and accessible bikes in the United States, we’re reintroducing people to the idea that a bike can be he most practical way to get where you need to go.
We’re reviving large-scale bicycle frame manufacturing in the U.S. by continuing Detroit’s legacy of quality manufacturing and design while operating in a 50,000 square-foot factory on the west side of the city. Every Detroit Bike is built from American-sourced Chromoly steel which is cut, coped, bent, welded, powder-coated, assembled, and packaged in our factory.
In addition to our private label bikes, Detroit Bikes contract manufactures bicycles for other brands and has the capacity to produce 100 bicycles a day.
