Bicycle frame-building

In this two-week, hands-on course, you learn the art of steel frame building from bike legend, Paul Brodie, using the same jigs and fixtures he has used to create award-winning bicycles. Classes are small to allow you to receive individual attention and guidance.

The course includes a brief MTB history, frame design/geometry, tube selection, full-scale drawing, shop safety, tube-mitreing, jigs and fixtures, welding/brazing, frame alignment, and finish work.

Design and build your own hard-tail frame. Graduate from the program with new skills and experience the exhilaration of riding a bike you built yourself. There is nothing like it!

Award Entries:
Lady Karma (Entry for: Best city bike/ Utility bike):
Lady Karma is a women’s bike built by a woman. The design requirements were to be pretty and curvy but I also wanted to make a functional bike that could perform well as a city commuter bike as well as a pretty Sunday ride. Since my motto is cycle back the energy I wanted to up-cycle and re-use as many parts as I could.
